As Chief Commercial Officer for Wercker I built and led the commercial team. This included Business Development, Partnerships, Marketing (inc Growth, Content, and PR roles), Customer Success and Sales. The team was distributed working either remotely or from the London, San Francisco and Amsterdam offices.

Leading B2B SaaS Venture Capital firm. I expanded the firms brand across Europe, covering deal origination and deal evaluation, focusing on Seed and Series A investments, and running technical due diligence process. I evaluated over 500 companies in this space.

Managed business development and account management team, serving clients such as JTi, INEOS Chemicals and Richemont. Delivering technology and branding solutions to startups and corporates alike including a 3 month stint as interim Marketing Director for Rightster

I held a variety of Director level roles at this startup from Country Director responsible for all P&L, to EU marketing director and global comms. I was with the business during the fast growth stage from 80 to 400 staff and through 2 venture funding rounds.

Cut my teeth in the product management of SaaS software products, delivering management solutions to governments at Local, Regional and European level, whilst moving in to Digital & Product Marketing.

Lead developer, responsible for all areas of development of a complex online project management tool developed using ASP.NET and SQL server. Involved in user interface design, architecture, database design, full stack coding, deployment, mentoring, and team management.

Wayne has a masters degree in agricultural technology and innovation from the RAU, a bachelors in software engineering from Manchester, is a fellow at the RSA, a visiting fellow at Zinc.VC and a member of a number of professional associations and he holds a Permaculture Design Certificate
